Bertha Mae Parker, 85, died Thursday, June 29, 2006 at Hospice Savannah Inc.
The Laurens County native had lived in Savannah for most of her life. She was a member of Ardsley Park Baptist Church and loved to play guitar. Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by her husband Cecil Embree Parker.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Cecil Randy and Lavenia Parker of Savannah; four grandchildren, Randy Parker, Curtis Parker, Monique Albert and Guinevere Waite; and five great grandchildren, Olivia Parker, Tyler Rigdon, Louis Cooler, Haylie Cooler and Derek Cooler.
Visitation will be from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. Sunday, July 2, 2006 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors Hodgson Chapel.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 3, 2006 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors Hodgson Chapel.
Interment will follow in Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park.
